1) Apple Inc. (AAPL) leads equities lower as fear over an economic slowdown cause traders and investors to liquidate Holdings. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 660.02 or 2.83%, the S&P 500 fell 62.14 or 2.48% while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 202.43 or 3.04% and the Russell 2000 finished lower by 25.01 or 1.84%.

1) Stocks started the first trading session of the year lower but rallied in afternoon trading to close in positive territory. They Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 18.78 or 0.08%, the S&P 500 added 3.18 or 0.13% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 30.66 or 0.46% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 7.34 or 0.54%.

1) Another day of steep losses on Wall Street sends stocks to a 14-month low and the worst is most likely yet to come. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 464.06 or 1.99%, the S&P 500 fell 39.54 or 1.58% while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 108.42 or 1.63% and the Russell 2000 finished lower by 23.23 or 1.72%.
