Market Update for April 2, 2019
In Today's Update:
1) U.S. Equity markets closed mixed on Tuesday as stocks take a breather after yesterday's surge. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 79.29 or 0.30%, the S&P 500 fell 0.05 or 0.00% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 19.78 or 0.25% and the Russell 2000 finished lower by 2.74 or 0.18%.
2) Crude Oil Futures finished flat while Gold Futures edged higher adding $1.30 or 0.10% after the U.S. dollar retreated from its daily High. The Bond market traded slightly higher and the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note settled at 2.472%.
3) Shares of Nordstrom Inc. (JWN) have fallen nearly 50% their high of $83.16 back in March of 2015 and the downtrend seems likely to continue. JWN has a major test of the $42 support level coming up but if it doesn't hold the stock may go much lower.
