Market Update for April 24, 2019

In Today's Update:

1) Stocks closed mostly lower on Wednesday despite several better-than-expected earnings announcements. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 59.34 or 0.22%, the S&P 500 fell 6.43 or 0.22% while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 18.81 or 0.23% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 3.04 or 0.19%.

2) Crude Oil Futures dropped $0.55 or 0.81% after a surprise build in U.S. Crude stockpiles while Gold Futures moved lower after a strong move by the U.S. dollar. The Bond market showed strength today and the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note finished the day at 2.523%.

3) It was another huge day for earnings announcements and a very active after-hours trading session as Microsoft (MSFT), Facebook (FB), Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG), and Tesla (TSLA) all reported earnings after market close.
