Market Update for April 24, 2019

In Today's Update:

1) Stocks closed mostly lower on Wednesday despite several better-than-expected earnings announcements. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 59.34 or 0.22%, the S&P 500 fell 6.43 or 0.22% while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 18.81 or 0.23% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 3.04 or 0.19%.

2) Crude Oil Futures dropped $0.55 or 0.81% after a surprise build in U.S. Crude stockpiles while Gold Futures moved lower after a strong move by the U.S. dollar. The Bond market showed strength today and the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note finished the day at 2.523%.

3) It was another huge day for earnings announcements and a very active after-hours trading session as Microsoft (MSFT), Facebook (FB), Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG), and Tesla (TSLA) all reported earnings after market close. We will review each of these in today's video and highlight the main earnings announcements scheduled to be released tomorrow.
