Market Update for August 14, 2018
In today's video:
1) U.S. equities bounce back after the Turkish Lira rebounds from record lows. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 112.22 points, the S&P 500 added 18.03 points while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 51.19 points and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 17.26 points.
2) The Bond and commodity markets were both fairly quiet today. The Bond market traded slightly lower and the yield on the 10-year treasury note moved up to 2.901. Crude Oil Futures closed marginally lower while Gold Futures gained $2.20 at the official close.
3) If you thought you heard a lot about Bitcoin this past year, think again. This Market is about to make major headlines once again. The NYSE Bitcoin index has lost over 2/3 of its value since reaching its all-time high above 18,000 last December. Now it's at an inflection point and could either continue to drop like a stone or become the buying opportunity of the century.
