Market Update for August 26, 2018
In today's video:
1) U.S. equities closed out the week with strong gains pushing the S&P 500 Index to a new all-time high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 133.37 points, the S&P 500 added 17.71 points while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 67.52 points and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 8.62 points.
2) U.S. Crude Oil Futures also closed out the week with gains snapping a 7-week losing streak while Gold Futures soared over $18.00 on Friday due to weakness in the U.S. dollar. The bond market traded higher and the yield on the 10-year treasury note finished the week at 2.816.
3) The S&P 500 is at an all-time high, bond yields are dropping, and the Fed says the economy is very strong so is there anything to worry about? We may get an answer to that question this week. Here's what to look for.
