Market Update for December 16, 2018
In Today's Update:
1) Wall Street closed out another turbulent week as stocks closed sharply lower and posted their worst December start in 38 years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 496.87 or 2.02%, the S&P 500 fell 50.59 or 1.91% while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 159.67 or 2.26% and the Russell 2000 finished lower by 21.89 or 1.53%.
2) Crude Oil Futures dropped another $1.35 or 2.57% while Gold Futures also finished lower dropping $5.10 or 0.41% on more strength in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market closed higher on Friday and the yield on the 10-year treasury note fell to 2.894%.
3) As we head into what should be a very important week for Wall Street, it's important for traders to know what to focus on.
