In Today's Update:
1) Disney (DIS) and JPMorgan (JPM) led the way as U.S. Equity markets closed significantly higher on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 269.25 or 1.03%, the S&P 500 added 19.09 or 0.66% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 36.80 or 0.46% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 5.66 or 0.36%.
2) U.S. Crude Oil Futures also posted gains closing higher by $0.18 or 0.28% while Gold Futures managed a slight gain after a retreat in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market closed lower for the second straight session and the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note advanced to close at 2.568%.
3) The Walt Disney Company announced plans to launch Disney+, a streaming service that will compete directly with Netflix (NFLX) and will be priced at just $6.99 per month. Shares of Disney gapped and closed significantly higher on the news while shares of Netflix retreated.
