1) U.S. Equity markets closed higher once again on a very low range, low-volume day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 96.44 or 0.34%, the S&P 500 added 2.79 or 0.09% while the NASDAQ 100 closed higher by 20.69 or 0.23% and the Russell 2000 closed higher by 2.24 or 0.13%.
2) Crude Oil Futures advanced slightly and closed higher by $0.21 or 0.35% while Gold Futures added $8.50 or 0.57%. The Bond market finished the day slightly lower and the yield on the 10-Year Treasury Note settled at 1.929%.
3) Shares of Boeing Co. (BA) rallied to close higher by $9.55 or 2.91% after the company announced that David Calhoun, a 10-year board member, will replace David Muilenberg as CEO. BA has been struggling to recover from two fatal crashes of the 737 Max jet and the board believes that David Calhoun is the man who can turn things around. He will take over as CEO on January 13, 2020.
