Market Update for Dec 3, 2019

In today's update:

1) U.S. Equity markets closed sharply lower on Tuesday after Trump's comments sent Futures spiralling. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 280.23 or 1.01%, the S&P 500 fell 20.67 or 0.66% while the NASDAQ 100 closed lower by 47.34 or 0.55% and the Russell 2000 finished lower by 4.95 or 0.31%.

2) Crude Oil Futures finished the day slightly higher while Gold Futures jumped $14.00 or 0.95% on more weakness in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market traded significantly higher and the yield on the 10-Year Treasury note settled at 1.716%.

3) After-market close, Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) announced that Larry Page will step down as CEO and Sundar Pichai will take over while maintaining his post as CEO of the parent company. Shares of GOOGL gained $5.88 during the regular trading session and are currently trading higher by $7.21 or 0.56% in the after-hours trading session.
