Market Update for Feb 11, 2020

In today's update:

1) U.S. Equity markets finished the day mostly higher on Tuesday but did close well off their highs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.48 or 0.00%, the S&P 500 added 5.56 or 0.17% while the NASDAQ 100 closed higher by 10.55 or 0.11% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 9.85 or 0.59%.

2) Crude Oil Futures bounced and closed higher by $0.37 or 0.75% while Gold Futures dropped $9.40 or 0.7% despite weakness in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market traded lower and the yield on the 10-Year Treasury Note settled at 1.596%.

3) Lyft Inc. (LYFT) reported quarterly earnings after market close today and beat estimates for both EPS and Revenue. Unfortunately, they are forecasting slower growth in 2020 and lowered their forward guidance. Shares of LYFT are currently trading lower by $2.89 or 5.36% in the after-hours trading session.
