1) The S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 hit record highs Wednesday as U.S. Equity markets continue to climb. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 115.84 or 0.40%, the S&P 500 added 15.86 or 0.47% while the NASDAQ 100 closed higher by 84.44 or 0.87% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 9.05 or 0.54%.
2) Crude Oil Futures spiked and closed higher by $1.24 or 2.38% while Gold Futures advanced $6.00 or 0.4% despite more strength in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market finished the day flat and the yield on the 10-Year Treasury note settled at 1.566%.
3) It's turning out to be another busy after-hours trading session with three more companies reporting better-than-expected quarterly earnings. Zillow Group (Z) is trading higher by $7.33 or 13.46% while the Avis Budget Group (CAR) is higher by $5.29 or 12.35% and IMAX Corp (IMAX) is trading higher by $0.84 or 4.91%.
