1) U.S. Equity markets bounced on Monday after Friday's steep sell-off but closed well off their daily highs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 143.78 or 0.51%, the S&P 500 added 23.40 or 0.73% while the NASDAQ 100 closed higher by 122.47 or 1.34% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 18.14 or 1.12%.
2) Crude Oil Futures closed sharply lower once again while Gold Futures fell $6.50 or 0.41% on strength in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market finished the day lower and the yield on the 10-Year Treasury Note settled at 1.526%.
3) Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) reported quarterly earnings after market close that surprised the market. GOOGL beat EPS estimates but missed Revenue estimates. shares of GOOGL are currently trading lower by $76.09 or 5.13% in the after-hours trading session.
