1) U.S. Equity markets closed higher Monday as the Dow 30 join the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 at record levels. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 114.75 or 0.42%, the S&P 500 added 11.36 or 0.37% while the NASDAQ 100 closed higher by 46.80 or 0.56% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 8.07 or 0.51%.
2) Crude Oil Futures finished slightly higher closing up $0.32 or 0.57% while Gold Futures were virtually flat closing higher by just $0.60 or 0.04%. The Bond market traded lower and the yield on the 10-Year Treasury Note settled at 1.779%.
3) Uber Technologies Inc. (UBER) reported earnings after-market close today and beat expectations but reported a $1.16 billion loss for the quarter. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said he expects the company to be profitable sometime in 2021. Shares of UBER are trading lower by $1.42 or 4.57% in the after-hours trading session.
