Market Update for July 1, 2019
In today's update:
1) Stocks weakened after gapping higher but still managed to close in positive territory. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 117.47 or 0.44%, the S&P 500 added 22.57 or 0.77% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 84.92 or 1.06% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 3.09 or 0.20%.
2) Crude Oil Futures advanced $0.61 or 1.04% after OPEC extends oil cut while Gold Futures traded sharply lower on strength in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market pulled back and the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note settled at 2.029%.
3) TLT, the Ishares trust 20-year Treasury Bond ETF soared during the month of May but spent the next 30 days consolidating. What will it do next? In today's video, we will review The daily, weekly, and monthly charts for clues.
