Market Update for June 10, 2019
In today's update:
1) Stocks climb for a sixth straight trading session as Traders celebrate the U.S. - Mexico trade deal. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 78.74 or 0.30%, the S&P 500 added 13.39 or 0.47% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 81.07 or 1.05% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 9.17 or 0.61%.
2) Crude Oil Futures reversed earlier gains and closed lower by $0.64 or 1.19% while Gold Futures finished the day sharply lower closing down $14.20 or 1.05% after a slight rebound in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market also closed significantly lower and the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note settled at 2.143%.
3) Beyond Meat Inc. (BYND) went public on May 2, 2019 at $45.00 per share and has been soaring ever since. Shares of BYND hit a new all-time high of $186.43 today before experiencing some profit taking and closing at $168.10, a gain of $29.45 or 21.24% due mostly to a rumor that they are close to reaching a deal with McDonalds Corp. (MCD).
