In Today's Update:
1) All major U.S. Equity indices closed higher today with the exception of the Dow 30 after shares of Boeing (BA) take another big hit. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 96.22 or 0.38%, the S&P 500 added 8.22 or 0.30% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 32.97 or 0.44% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 0.96 or 0.06%.
2) Crude Oil futures finished slightly higher gaining just $0.14 or 0.25% while Gold Futures advanced $11.00 or 0.85% as the U.S. dollar traded lower for the third straight session. The Bond market continued to show strength while the yield on the 10-year treasury note dropped to 2.599%.
3) Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) launched its loyalty program, Chipotle Rewards, on a national level and announced it would give away $250,000 per day to 25,000 customers between March 12th and March 15th. Shares of CMG surged on the news hitting a new 52-week high and closing higher by $14.11 or 2.29%. Bullish chart patterns on the weekly and monthly time frames also suggest the stock may be poised for more gains.
