Market Update for March 31, 2019
In Today's Update:
1) U.S. Equities closed significantly higher on Friday and posted their biggest quarterly gains in almost a decade. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 211.22 or 0.82%, the S&P 500 added 18.96 or 0.67% while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 60.16 or 0.78% and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 4.63 or 0.30%.
2) U.S. Crude Oil Futures closed higher by $0.88 or 1.48% jumping 32% year-to-date while Gold Futures rebounded slightly closing higher by $1.70 or 0.13%. The Bond market moved slightly lower lifting the yield on the 10-year Treasury Note up to 2.406%.
3) Lyft Inc. (LYFT) made its much-anticipated debut on the Nasdaq exchange Friday and opened nearly 22% above its IPO price of $72. LYFT shares faded into the close but we're heavily traded and finished the session higher by $6.29 or 8.74%. In today's video, we will discuss the best way to trade lift shares moving forward.
