Market Update for September 10, 2018
In today's video:
1) The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite Index snapped a four-day losing streak after a slight bounce in Technology stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 59.47 points, the S&P 500 gained 5.45 points while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 21.62 points and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 4.29 points.
2) Crude Oil Futures closed slightly lower as U.S. Inventories continue to build while Gold Futures gained $0.60 or 0.05%. The Bond market also traded higher and the yield on the 10-year treasury note dropped to 2.934.
3) Tesla (TSLA) was one of the best-performing stocks on Wall Street today gaining $22.26 or 8.46% after bullish comments from an analyst at Baird & Bernstein. While there is no doubt that today's trading activity was bullish for the stock, TSLA remains a high-risk play for both traders and investors.
