Market Update for September 12, 2018
In today's video:
1) A mixed close for U.S. equities despite a new round of trade talks between the U.S. and China. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 27.86 points, the S&P 500 added 1.03 points while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 18.24 points and the Russell 2000 finished lower by 2.71 points.
2) Crude Oil Futures gained another 1.49% after a drop in U.S. Crude stockpiles while Gold Futures spiked gaining $9.50 or 0.79% on a sharp drop in the U.S. dollar. The Bond market edged higher and the yield on the 10-year treasury note finished the day at 2.966.
3) Shares of Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) have been trending strongly since last fall but may be ready to take a breather before resuming its uptrend. In today's video, we will review our latest trade in COST and explain why now may be a great time to sell some call options and collect additional premium.
